Frequently asked questions

Useful things to know before you arrive

Quick answers to the questions we receive most often about overnight stays, the restaurant, getting here and your visit.

The malga is located above Forni Avoltri and can be reached both on foot and by car. From Rifugio Tolazzi you can hike up through the forest in about 45 minutes — the most scenic and recommended way to arrive.

Alternatively, you can drive up a dirt road with a few hairpin bends. It's simpler, but far less evocative.

Yes, we have cosy alpine-style rooms for those seeking silence, simplicity and a genuine mountain stay. Booking is recommended, especially during peak periods.

Yes, booking is always advisable. It allows us to organise the best possible welcome and deliver a more attentive service, especially at weekends and during the summer months.

Absolutely. The malga is an ideal stop for those walking the CAI 144 and 145 trails and looking for a rest stop or a place to eat and recover.

Yes, the venue is well suited to families, organised groups and small retreats seeking tranquillity, nature and a warm atmosphere. We recommend contacting us in advance to discuss availability and logistics.

Yes, Wi-Fi is available in the common areas. Coverage may be limited at altitude — the best connection here is the one with the mountain.

Yes, pets are welcome. We simply ask that they are kept under control and in respect of other guests and the surrounding environment.

We accept cash and digital payments. At altitude the connection can be unreliable, so cash is always the safest option.

The rate is per person, per night and includes the room, use of shared bathrooms with other guests, breakfast and dinner — one main dish of your choice plus a side.

Rooms are private, while bathrooms are shared with other guests in the property.

The malga has 5 rooms with approximately 20 beds in total, so you may share facilities with other guests, especially during busier periods.

This is a simple, typical mountain arrangement — designed for those who seek an authentic experience without formality.
